Apple Chunky Cake

APPLE CHUNKY CAKE

doubled makes a shallow 9x13 cake

1C flour
1t baking powder
1/4t salt
3/4 C sugar
1/4 butter
1 egg
1t vanilla
1/2 C chopped raw apple (I am very generous with this measurement)
1/2 C chopped walnuts

Sift floour, measure and sift again with baking powder and salt. Set aside. Melt butter and stir in sugar. Cool slightly and then beat in eggs. Add vanilla, fold in flour, stir in apples and nuts.
Spread batter and bake 350 degrees for 30 minuts.

Optional: Sprinkle with 1T sugar and 1/4t cinnamon before putting in oven.
