Soup

CROCK POT BEAN AND PASTA SOUP

2C beans (1# bag)
Water to cover
Soak beans overnight, drain.

2 1/2 Qts chicken stock
1 lg onion chopped
1-2 C carrots, chopped
1-2 C celery, sliced
3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
14 oz can of tomatoes
1T fresh or 1t basil
1T fresh or 1t parsley
1C pasta
1# sausage, cooked, crumbled and drained

put beans in crock pot and add stock. Add everything else except pasta and sausage. Cook until beans are tender--about 3 hours. Add pasta and sausage. Cook until pasta is tender.

Serve with salad and crusty bread.
